Shein coupon code not working? Causes and fixes
Most Shein code problems come from the code’s own conditions: a minimum purchase, an expiry date, an item that is not eligible, a second coupon in the same order, or a typo. Work through the causes below in order. Each one comes from Shein’s own US help pages.
You did not click apply
Shein says that if you do not click “apply” before you continue checkout, your order total will not show the coupon discount.
Fix: Enter the code in the Promo Code box, click “apply”, and check that the total changed before you click “Continue checkout”.
The code was typed with a space or a mistake
Shein says to enter the code exactly as you received it, with no space before, within or after it.
Fix: Copy and paste the code instead of typing it. Shein recommends this to avoid errors.
You did not reach the minimum purchase
Shein says some codes have requirements, such as a minimum purchase.
Fix: Look at the terms shown with the code, and check that your order meets the minimum.
The code has expired
Each Shein coupon has an expiration date. Once a coupon has expired, it cannot be redeemed.
Fix: Check the expiry on the coupon in your Shein account or in the coupon’s own terms. If you hold the coupon in your account, look at “Personal Center”, “My Assets”, “My Coupons”. Shein marks expired coupons as “unavailable” there.
You already used the code
Shein’s coupon terms say a coupon may only be used once.
Fix: Try a different code that you have not used.
You are using a second coupon on the same order
Shein says you can use only one coupon code per order, and coupons cannot be combined or stacked.
Fix: Pick the one code you want and remove the other.
Some items are not eligible
Shein says coupons are subject to the offer terms, and some items on its website are not eligible for coupon discounts. Its coupon policy also says that coupons marked only for third-party sellers’ products cannot be used on products sold by Shein, and that only coupons marked as eligible can be used on third-party sellers’ products.
Fix: Remove the item you suspect, or check the offer terms to see which items qualify.
You expected the code to cover shipping
Shein says a promo code does not work on shipping fees.
Fix: Do not count on a promo code lowering the shipping fee. Shein lists free shipping as a separate coupon type, so check the coupon’s own terms.
You are not on the US site or app
Shein’s US coupon terms say coupons can be redeemed only on us.shein.com and in the SHEIN US app.
Fix: Shop on us.shein.com or in the SHEIN US app.
The code is for new customers
Shein’s first-order voucher page says its first-order offer is only for new customers and has a limit of one use per customer. Other codes may have the same kind of limit.
Fix: Check whether the code’s terms say “new customers” or “first order”. If so, it may not work on an account that has already placed an order.
